This town has a very old bridge.

We stayed with another painter – artists from the UK near Ligardes, France. This painting is done from a road just a short distance from his house,

This part of France has these amazingly old tree with wonderful bark.

We move from the Pyrenees to the rolling farms fields to the north. Here the landscape looked like the farms painted by Van Gogh and others. The fields were a golden brown in the late fall.

We spent the night on a farm Airbnb and decided to paint directly from the drive of old historic farm house.

Right on the Southern Border of France connecting with Spain is the French Pyrenees Mountain range. We travels for two days in the steep mountainous area.

We stayed in this small town in the Basque region of France. For this first painting, I decided to paint on the balcony of our hotel room to experiment with the paints. This was the view from the balcony.

As part of a Europe Trip in September and October of 2024, I took two weeks to rent a car and travel around Southern France to paint the mountains and country side.
