In October we did a bike ride near Moss Landing CA on the road just inland from the coast. On this late afternoon, we were able to capture this view of the still water and reflections.

This rugged part of the PCT trail in Washington was filled with pink flowers in early August. This painting captures both the steep mountains and the pretty pink flowers.

We did a plein air meetup group and about 6 of us were there painting on the coast at Santa Barbara.

While staying in San Luis Obispo for a few days, we spent an afternoon at Morro Bay and were able to do a plein air painting at this location.

This painting is based on the Pear Lake meadow view on the trail on the PCT in Washington State. This is painted with the new duo oil/water paints.

This painting is based on a PCT Trail Section just north of the Harts Pass ranger station. We hiked this section in late July while hiking the Washington State PCT trail section.

I decided to continue to experiment with my new oil/water paints called duo. My third painting of this new medium that I am working was created for Ellie, my daughter. I’m planning to work with these paints as they can be thinned and brushes cleaned without solvents. This allows me to paint in more contained spaces.
