Infinity Lake, Emigrant Wilderness

One early morning, I trekked about 3 miles into the Emigrant wilderness to this special hidden, unnamed lake. What makes this lake so special is that one side of the lake falls away to the step rock cliff canyon making the lake have that infinity pool look.

I positioned by painting setup on the ledge above the lake to paint this unusual and hidden lake.

It was a warm Wednesday morning in late August and not a person could be seen or heard in any direction for hours.
