Bear Island Schooner, Bahamas

For a few days, we had the pleasure of sailing and adventuring with two other sailboats and their crews. One was a 37 foot schooner and a 30 Cape Dory.

I was able to paint each of them a picture of their boat and give it to them to enjoy. Here is the Bear Island Schooner painting.

Alicia Beach Walk – Bahamas

We have stayed at this wonderful island called Manjack Cay in the Bahamas for over a week. It is filled with some trails and options to snorkel in the Atlantic ocean reef and offers good protection for most winds.

This is a painting of Alicia walking on this 1.5 mile beach and there is not another soul on the beach besides us.

The water is a wonderful blue green color and next to a white sand beach.

This was painted on our boat.

Gulf of Mexico

I’ve decided to try and do some more abstract ocean views that are loosely based on some views from our sailboat marina in Marathon, FL. This is a the view from our boat as it looks over the Gulf of Mexico. This tiny island sits right off shore and at times a sailboat is anchored a 1/8 mile off shore or sailing by. The ocean colors change hourly and daily from the sun, or clouds or wind that stirs up the ocean. The front darker green water is actually showing the shallow darker ocean bottom coming thru.
